My client really wanted a new fresh look for her pool area, the fabric on the cushions was brown and outdated . Living here in the Phoenix desert is wonderful but you want your back yard bright and colorful.

We started with powder coating their existing chaise lounges in black. Next we made new box cushions in Sunbrella canvas white with contrasting welt in canvas black. Just changing the cushion style made such a difference in the look. We added lumbers in a black and white awning stripe also from Sunbrella.
Painting the surrounding the fence and low walls in white really brightened up the space. Lastly we added some fun colorful flowers to the blue flower pots.

Sectional Sofa: An Arcadia Design and Stitch Original, all new foam cushions upholstered in striped fabric by Strohiem and accented with hand-sewn pillows done in Perennials Fabric, Ishi Red coral and Slubby Blue.

A Charming Front Porch 

Our client in Arcadia was due for a front porch make over. He knew he wanted something fun so my partner and I  went shopping at our or our favorite spots, Fabric Depot. Here is the color scheme we found: All Outdoor Fabrics, Tradewinds by Outdura Fabric #3805, Pillows and welt in Sunbrella Canvas, Saphire Blue and Tangerine. On the Tangerine pillows we used an outdoor fringe in Mediterranean Blue. Lastly,we custom designed a lumbar pillow with the stripe and canvas. Hope you enjoy!

"How to keep your Outdoor Fabric looking good"

One of the best ways to keep any outdoor fabrics looking good, and to delay deep or vigorous cleanings, is to properly maintain the fabrics. This can be accomplished by simply brushing off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics, wiping up spills quickly or spot cleaning soon after stains occur. Remember that cushions around the pool are more likely to get oil-based stains due to sunscreens and lotions. Clean oil-based spills right away – the longer it sits, the more difficult it is to remove.


Most stains can be removed with mild, soapy water and a soft bristle brush, but if you do have to deal with an especially difficult stain, there are many ways to tackle it including the use of of a bleach and water solution.
