Paradise Valley Back Yard Redo

What fun we are having working on this back yard redo for our Paradise Valley Clients. We were able to use their existing Brown Jordan and OW Lee furniture. We had them powder coated to give them a clean, fresh new look. The Veranda still needs some outdoor draperies and accessorizing, that will be the next phase.

Around the pool we chose a simple Sunbrella basic fabric and had it made into box cushions and welted it with a darker color Sunbrella. We are still on the hunt for a fun fabric for pillows for the chaise lounges. The dining chairs we chose a beautiful Duralee Stripe and welted it in a Sunbrella canvas in Antique Beige.

The area we chose a fun awning stripe from Sunbrella and chose a fun fabric for the accent pillows.

 Next Step Accessorize: A few great indoor/outdoor rugs from Dash and Albert. More fun pillows made by Arcadia Design and Stitch. Draperies to shade the Veranda and some outdoor candles, votives and potted plants.

Looking for a new color palette?

All fabrics pricing from $16.99 to $45.99 per yard, linens and cotton blends. All paint samples are from Sherwin-Williams.

Having a hard time deciding on a new color palette for your living room , kitchen or tired of your master bedroom bedding? Let the Interior Designers at Arcadia Design and Stitch help you.  

•  First you need to be inspired, find  pictures of things that you love, photos of rooms that you would love to live in. Look in a magazines, look on the web, check out our Pinterest page. The photos you find should be of spaces that make you feel like  you’ve come “home”; a place where you never want to leave.

• Take 5 to 10 photos and or short video of your room make sure to take one photo of each wall and a separate photo of each piece of furniture that you either need to have recovered, slip-covered or just need to add a few new pillows to. Include all windows if your needing draperies, roman shades or valances

• Then you need to come up with a budget (i.e. how much money you want to spend per yard on your fabrics). Fabrics can range in price from less than $10 per yard to over $300 per yard, depending on what the fabric is made out of: cotton, silk, linen, rayon or any other type of synthetics. Where the fabric is made: Europe, Asia or the Americas. The quality of the materials and manufacturing: is it machine made, screen-printed, hand-colored or hand-loomed? Keep in mind that you get what you pay for; it’s much more reasonable to spend more money for higher quality fabric then less for lower quality fabric. Think of it this way: the cost of labor is the same whether you choose a good quality fabric or not, meaning that you may as well pay the higher price the first time around, rather than needing to replace the fabric because it falls apart sooner than later.

 For $175 along with your inspiration photos and/or videos of your rooms we will put together 2 color palette options. Each color palette will include up to 6 fabric samples ,3 trims and 3 paint colors.  They will be labeled with suggestions of what fabric to use where (pillows, draperies, sofa, chairs etc.) and  on where to use the paint colors (walls, ceiling, trims, woodwork etc.)These will be mailed to you within 7-10 business days.  

Hopefully, you will love one of color palettes, if not both. These samples are yours to keep and you can use the samples as you wish, you can choose to purchase the fabrics and trims through us here at Arcadia Design and Stitch where we have wholesale accounts with all the fabric vendors we specified for you or go on your own and purchase at any of the retail stores that sell the Fabrics and trims we have given to you.

A Charming Front Porch  Our client in Arcadia was due for a front porch make over. He knew he wanted something fun so my partner and I  went shopping at our or our favorite spots, Fabric Depot. Here is the color scheme we found: All Outdoor Fabrics, Tradewinds by Outdura Fabric #3805, Pillows and welt in Sunbrella Canvas, Saphire Blue and Tangerine. On the Tangerine pillows we used an outdoor fringe in Mediterranean Blue. Lastly,we custom designed a lumbar pillow with the stripe and canvas. Hope you enjoy!
